Security and privacy
How FOM keeps your shop's accounts, chats and customer details safe, and the controls you have.
Your shop's chats, customers and orders are business data. FOM limits who can see them and gives the owner the controls to check and change that.
Accounts and sign-in
- Everyone has their own account. Staff join through an email invite; nobody shares the owner's password.
- Email is confirmed with a 6-digit code when an account is created.
- Passwords are never stored as text. FOM keeps only a secure hash of each password.
- One device at a time per platform. If an account is already signed in on another phone or browser, FOM asks before signing that one out.
- Signed-in devices. In Settings → Signed-in devices, see where your account is signed in and sign out any device you don't recognise.
Who can see what
- Roles and permissions decide what each staff member can see and do: for example, Support can read orders but not change them, and Viewer can't export data.
- The owner can create custom roles.
- The activity log shows who changed what in the shop, and when.
Channels and chats
- The tokens that connect your Telegram and Viber bots, and your Facebook Page, are stored encrypted.
- Chat messages are visible only to your shop's staff, according to their role.
Customer details
- The order tracking link a customer receives shows their name and address, but their phone number is masked (for example
09•••••456). - Tracking links stop working 30 days after the order is delivered or cancelled, and you can reset a link at any time.
Your data
- Export orders, customers, deliveries and staff as CSV whenever you need them.
- Delete your account from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion happens after 14 days, not instantly: signing in again before then cancels it.
